This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit FanOrbit, why, and what your rights are under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

In short

  • You do not need an account, and we do not ask for personal data to watch videos.
  • We never store your IP address in clear.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not use it to profile you.
  • Advertising and analytics, if any, start only with your consent.

What data we process and why

Browsing. To run the site and protect it from abuse (for example too many requests in a short time) the server receives your IP address. We do not store it as it is: we turn it into a code (hash) computed with a key that changes every day and is deleted after 48 hours; from then on the code can no longer be linked to your address. The limits against abuse use a similar code, kept only in memory for at most 24 hours. The server logs do not contain your IP address, except for rare critical error messages, kept for one day.

Age confirmation. When you confirm you are at least 18, we store a technical cookie in your browser to remember it. We record nothing in our database and use no external service. Details in the cookie policy.

Views. We count how many times each video is watched. So as not to count the same view twice we use the code described above, kept in memory until the end of the day; the database keeps only the totals, with no data about who watched.

Searches and pages visited. Your searches and the videos you watch can reveal your sexual preferences, which are special category data under the GDPR. This is why we do not link them to your identity: the text of your searches never ends up in the logs, and ads do not receive the address of the page you are watching.

Reports and messages. If you use Report content or Contact we process what you write: category, address of the content and message for reports; name, email, subject and message for the contact form. Name and email are optional in reports, except for copyright, where we need the email to reply. We also store the language of the page and the code of your IP address described above, to detect abuse. For the most serious reports (possible minor, non-consensual content) our staff immediately receives an email that contains only the category, the time and the address of the video, never your message or your data.

Legal bases

  • Our legitimate interest in running the site securely, preventing abuse and counting views in aggregate.
  • Handling your request, when you write to us or send a report, and our legal obligations about reported content.
  • Your consent, for advertising and analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep data

  • Key that links the codes to your IP address: 48 hours. After that, even the code stored with a report or a message can no longer be linked to you.
  • Reports: we keep them as evidence of the checks and actions taken, for {{RETENTION_PERIOD}}. We delete the name and email of the person who reported 180 days after the report is closed; for reports of a possible minor or of content shared without consent we also keep them for {{RETENTION_PERIOD}}, as evidence.
  • Contact messages: as long as needed to reply, and no longer than 180 days after they are sent.

Who receives the data

The data stays on our servers and only our staff can see it, after signing in with two-factor authentication. The server providers and the email service provider process it on our behalf, as data processors. If you accept advertising, the ad provider ({{AD_NETWORK}}) processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell data to anyone.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to the processing, by writing to contatti@fanorbit.net. As we do not store your IP address, we may be unable to find the browsing data that concerns you. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of your country.

Minors

The site is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

If we change this policy we publish the new version here, with the date of the last update.
